Start your "seed vault" today. 100% non GMO seeds
Have you started a seed vault?
Now is a good time to do it. As you may or may not know ,Monsanto has bought out most seed companies and they don't even have to tell you that the seeds are now genetically modified.
We are living in some serious times. As you all know we may have to up and move at a moments notice. What happens when you finally make it to safety? The place you land may be where you're going to stay for a while, and you can't forage for food forever.
And let's just say that nothing happens and we are going to stay where we are and continue to live happily. Well, it's been said that planting a garden is a sure sign that you believe there is hope for the future. With all of the chemicals in the foods you buy these days, that future may be cut short from diseases yet unknown. Monsanto is the largest pesticide company in the world, and now they officially have the presidents okay to do whatever they want to our food without even labeling it as genetically modified. (Monsanto protection act) I would much rather err on the side of caution and grow my own food. Did you also know that they only serve "organicly grown" food in the whitehouse? What happened to what's good for the gander is good for the goose? Did you also know that in Europe they have outlawed Monsanto and burned the existing crops to the ground? These are just a few examples of just how bad this stuff is for you. I don't know about you, but I don't want the same folks that make roundup pesticide and weed killer messing with the genetics of the food I eat, particularly given that they don't have to tell you that they've done it.
I have been a member of the seeds of the month club for a while now and have not been dissapointed yet.
For just $3.09 a month, your first month you get 8 packets of seeds to start off, then 4 packets a month thereafter. These are all 100% non GMO. You can't buy regular packets of seeds that cheap. Add in the cost of gas to get to the store to buy them and you're really saving money. My wife and I also opted in for the extra cost of somewhere around $6.00 more total for the year, and we are happily surprised every once in a while with a few extra packets of seeds that either came out of their packaging and had to be repackaged, or they are just over runs. Well worth every penny. We are using a coffee can with dessicants as a "seed safe"
